**The Opportunity**:
The purpose of this role is to organise, manage and control the parts department to achieve operational standards. This role will report to the branch manager in the regional parts division. This role is newly created enabling the successful applicant to grow with the role.

**The Role**:

- Developing and maintaining effective processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring all orders are processed correctly and are followed through in a timely and efficient manner
- Overseeing an efficient warehouse and office area in line with Komatsu 5S standards
- Overseeing backorder reports and providing feedback for staff and customers accordingly.
- Ensuring all reports from head office are actioned and filed on local drive
- Overseeing all reman transactions and core returns
- Conducting cyclical and/or full stock takes, assisting with data entry of results and providing accurate records through the use of Excel spread sheets for validation from Branch Manager.
- Controlling integrity of stock on hand including, stock adjustments and validation of authenticity.
- Ensure company property including department tools, equipment and vehicles are in suitable working order and damage is reported immediately to the required personnel.
- Assisting the Branch Manager in the review of Parts budgets, goals and department achievements.
- Submitting parts warranties and assist warranty department when needed.
- Assisting the Customer Support Representatives in interpreting parts as required

**The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re Looking For**:

- Proven experience in management of a parts department
- Well-developed numeracy, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to analyse and forecast sales performance to implement business improvement strategies and prepare budgets.
- Appropriate demeanour for communicating with customers at a senior level and providing a professional service.
- Proven experience in inventory control and warehouse systems
- Above average level of expertise with both mainframe and personal computers.
- Well-developed time management skills and a demonstrated commitment to a high standard of presentation and accuracy
- Appropriate demeanour for supervising, assisting and training staff to create a positive team atmosphere
- Relevant and up to date knowledge of parts and accessories, the supply chain and logistics of operating a trade distribution system.
