**About the role**:
As the **Data Platform Lead / Manager**, you work closely with Business and Technology stakeholders to the drive the Technology Roadmap which will focus on implementing a new Enterprise Data Platform built on AWS and Databricks. The role encompasses a mix of technical leadership, Agile/Scrum management, strategy & ops model development, resource planning and stakeholder relations.

**What you will be doing**:

- Build and maintain strong and trusted relationships with stakeholders across various business units and internal technology teams
- Own the data platform vendor relationships and management of vendor contracts and licencing.
- Coordinate the delivery of consistent and effective technology services in relation to data management, in line with agreed data quality and governance practices.
- Manage changes on the platform, including provision of estimates, resources planning, management of vendor statements of work, and leading the delivery of these changes on the platform.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies and provide guidance and support to ensure that all data-related activities follow applicable regulations and standards.

**Ideally you will have**:

- Experience implementing and utilising data platform technologies.
- Strong experience with AWS, Databricks, Kafka, Alation, Customer Personalisation Technologies.
- 5 plus years of experience running a data platform function in a large enterprise.
- Good knowledge on Data management, data governance, and data storage principles.
- Experience in Vendor Management, Contract negotiation, Change Management principles, Relational database and ETL principles.
