Data/Information Architect

We are seeking an experienced
Data/Information Architect
to join a large-scale digital transformation program. This contract role will focus on designing and managing enterprise-level data architecture to support the replacement of a Human Capital Management (HCM) system and an ERP upgrade.

As a senior technical member of the program, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security while enabling smooth migration from legacy systems to modern platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data architecture frameworks aligned with enterprise principles.
  • Lead the design and execution of
    data migration strategies
    , including transformation rules and validation.
  • Create and maintain
    logical and physical data models
    to optimise data usage.
  • Develop and oversee
    data integration frameworks
    for seamless system interoperability.
  • Implement
    data governance practices
    to ensure integrity, consistency, and security.
  • Provide expert guidance on data modelling, migration, and integration best practices.
  • Assess and recommend modern data management tools and platforms.
  • Produce clear documentation for architectures, models, and integration points.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to ensure business alignment.

About You

We are looking for a professional with:

  • 5–7+ years' experience in
    data architecture, data migration, or data management
    within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of
    data governance, data quality, and stewardship practices
    .
  • Proficiency with
    ETL tools, data validation, and database management systems
    .
  • Hands-on expertise in
    Microsoft Azure data services
    (DataHub, Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse).
  • Experience with
    SAP
    and ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g.
    Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, CDMP
    ) are an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with
    Agile delivery methodologies
