**Description**:
Our client is a leader in food innovation and produces products that match customer specifications perfectly. Their food range is wide and their adherence to quality is paramount. We are currently assisting their search for a Warehouse Operator/Supervisor to join their dynamic team and oversee responsibility for daily running of the small cold storage warehouse.
In this role you will be required to:

- Provide hands-on leadership, direction, and supervision of processes and casual staff in defined areas.
- Establish, measure, and report key performance indicators within defined areas.
- Ensure tasks are completed efficiently to ensure process lines meet processing plan and KPI targets.
- Meet customer requirements and maintain food hygiene standards, including Compliance and Halal requirements.
- Develop and update documented procedures in collaboration with Operations and Quality Managers.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and Health and Safety Procedures.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings in defined areas.
- Assist Operations Manager in staff selection when required
- Conduct annual formal performance appraisals
- Maintain strong communication with all staff, including Senior Management.
- Participate in Weekly Site Management Meetings with Operations, Technical, and Production Managers
- Take a leadership role in implementing Lean Manufacturing culture and concepts.
- Demonstrated experience in a Manufacturing Warehouse (preferably food or beverage)
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and Food Safety
- Proficiency in computer literacy, numeracy, and both verbal and written communication.
- Ability to encourage a customer focused culture
- Be active in pursuing areas of continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead and directly supervise staff, including training and disciplinary procedures as needed.
- Desired current Forklift - Class 2 HT certification.
