Test Lead

About the team

We are seeking an experienced Peformance Test Lead to join the Non-Functional Testing team in the Payments Settlements department. This is a non-people leading role, focused on technical leadership and delivery within the non-functional testing domain. The Department is responsible for the ongoing development and smooth operation of Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS) and the Fast Settlement Service (FSS), the day-to-day management of Exchange Settlement Accounts, and back-office settlement of transactions arising from the Bank's open market operations and reserves management trades. The Department also provides a low-value clearing service to payments system participants for the exchange of cheque and direct entry payment files.

About the role

Key objectives- Collaborate with project stakeholders, developers, and business analysts to understand non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.- Implement NFT Test strategies and plans that are appropriate to address the risk and complexity of the projects or initiatives.-
- Maintain, execute test automation suites (NFT), and report findings proactively.- Maintain test data and ensure environment conflicts are minimised through pro-active management.- Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with the development and migration teams.- Provide detailed test execution reports, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.- Provide second-level support to PS Operations and PS Settlements, this includes training, handover, and support documentations.- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

About you- Proven expertise and experience in non-functional testing, especially performance testing and failover testing.- Minimum 7 years of experience in non-functional testing across complex systems and domains- Expertise in implementing non-functional testing frameworks and tools.- Proficient in running performance testing and monitoring tools such as JMeter, AppDynamics and Kibana.- Proficient in using defect and test management tools such as JIRA and QMetry.- Extensive experience in planning, management, support and testing of non-functional changes to mission critical systems.- Exposure to Swift Messaging and ISO/Interact service testing, Sterling testing is highly desirable.- Experience with the NPP platform and concepts related to payments testing is advantageous.- Ability to analyse migration impacts and translate them into effective test cases.- Advanced experience in payments and settlements systems, services, and operations.- Basic understanding of infrastructure modernisation concepts, even if not directly involved in infrastructure testing is highly preferred.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying and resolving defects.- Effective communication skills to effectively articulate test results and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
