One Door Mental Health is excited to be advertising a crucial position within our organisation. Lived experience is at the heart of our organisation and we are seeking to recruit to our inaugural Lived Experience Lead position.
The position will be a part of the Senior Leadership Team and provide expertise and advice on matters relating to lived experience to the Chief Executive Officer.
**The role**
The Lived Experience Lead will oversee the development of a lived experience voice in all One Door activities, including governance, operations, workforce, business development, recruitment, quality, and evaluation. You will drive change through lived experience leadership and amplify the voices, perspectives and experiences of people living with mental health challenges, and their carers and families.
The Lived Experience Lead will support One Door’s services provided by our peer workers and other One Door team members who identify as having a lived experience of mental health challenges and those caring for a person with a lived experience of mental health challenges. The position will motivate, support, and collaboratively seek commitment from teams in ensuring outcomes that align with the recovery of the people we support.
Guided by the _Recovery 2gether _Framework, the Lived Experience Lead will:
- provide lived experience expertise to the development and innovation of One Door services,
- lead and maintain One Door’s Lived Experience Framework and practices,
- collaborate with Support Hub Leads and the Executive Leadership Team to ensure linkages and synergies of work.
**Your key skills and experience**
- Lived experience of challenges to social and emotional wellbeing.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications, or equivalent 3 years’ experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading and supporting community mental health services.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working within co-design and co-production frameworks.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, and representation skills including a proven history of being able to successfully guide groups to shared decision making.
- Values consistent with purpose-driven ways of supporting teams and team members.
- Ability to provide non-directive coaching, tailored to the needs of teams and team members.
- Willing and able to exercise personal responsibility.
- Sound IT competence with Microsoft programs, Client Management Systems, electronic timesheets, HRIS, and ability to adapt to new systems as they are introduced.
