**Organisation**

This is an Australian Securities Exchange listed company operating a number of specialist businesses in the private tertiary education market in Australia.

Delivering English language, vocational and higher education courses with campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Southport, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, and Cairns.

**About the role**

The Head of IT is responsible for the delivery of information services to all group operating businesses. This role will play a significant part in establishing the framework for all current and future IT requirements and operations.

The Head of IT is required to think strategically and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the long-term capability and capacity of the IT infrastructure. They will develop strategy and own the delivery of IT services, including project implementation and ongoing support services.
- Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of all ICT systems, ensuring they are robust, available and secure
- Drive the IT strategic vision, working collaboratively with General Managers and the Executive Team, to assist the organisation to meet its goals
- Develop the IT strategic plan including Governance and Compliance, Information and Data management, Application architecture, Infrastructure Platform and IT support operations
- Establish and Chair the IT Steering Committee
- Provide sound advice to the Executive Team on all matters related to IT
- Develop, implement and maintain a consistent project management methodology for implementing IT projects
- Lead projects as required including implementing new systems and ensuring existing systems are up to date
- Prepare and manage the IT budget in conjunction with the CFO
- Manage external vendors including ensuring that SLA’s are in place, measured and adhered to

**To be successful in this role you'd need**:

- Experience in a Head of IT or Senior IT leadership role for a large organisation, preferably publicly listed
- Experience in delivering IT projects related to Public Cloud and Applications
- Experience within the Education preferred but not required
- Strong Business acumen to optimise IT operational efficiency and drive business outcomes while keeping a customer focused mindset
- Ability to partner with key internal and external stakeholders to plan for IT needs and to deliver excellent IT outcomes
