**Head of Logistics**
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Logistics to lead and manage all logistics operations within the Government Records Repository (GRR) Division. This pivotal role will oversee the efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of client records and internal material. You will ensure that all logístical processes align with MHNSW's strategic objectives and compliance requirements.
The Government Records Repository (GRR) is the Commercial Services division of MHNSW, offering records management services to government departments. These services are aligned to the requirements outlined in the State Records Act 1998. The GRR operates a world-class storage facility in the Western Sydney Records Centre (WSRC) in Kingswood, NSW providing for the special storage requirements of records, their retrieval and ultimately their disposal. The GRR was established in 1955 and began operating from the WSRC site in 1974.
**What the opportunity is**:
- Employment with Museums of History NSW.
- Clerk Grade 11/12 Remuneration package includes salary ($145,378 - $168,130), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Full-time employment on an ongoing basis (35 hours per week).
- The role may be required to work across Sydney as directed and is primarily based at the Western Sydney Records Centre, Kingswood.
**What we do**
MHNSW brings together the museums, historic houses and associated collections previously in the care of Sydney Living Museums with the vast collection of more than 13 million items held by the former NSW State Archives. This includes one of the world’s most complete and important collections documenting colonisation.
**What you’ll do with us**
The Head of Logistics is responsible for the delivery of Logistics services for the Government Records Repository (GRR) within the wider MHNSW group to facilitate the provision of warehousing, handling, transport, client site project services, retail support and archival collection logistics for internal and/or external clients.

**Essential requirements of the role**:
- Detailed knowledge and experience with Records Management or Supply Chain/Logistics Management Projects and Services, including use of packages such as O’Neil Software’s RS-SQL.
- Experience in a managing multiple team members and projects/services in a high demand environment to agreed timeframes and within cost projections.
- Have a current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Have a current NSW class C drivers licence.
- Ability to participate in after-hours call roster, including attending to call outs.
- Obtain and maintain appropriate security clearances.
**Also note**:
- To be eligible for an ongoing role in the NSW Public Sector you need to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. For temporary and casual roles, you need to hold a valid visa giving you permission to work in Australia as required by the role.
- A talent pool may be created for future ongoing and temporary roles and is valid for a period of up to 18 months.
