**About the team**:
Finance makes it easier for us to win together as a business. Our team works side-by-side with every other team to help bring commercial thinking into what they do and make moves that support our strategic business decisions.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Operations Lead to join our Reporting and Governance finance team on a 24 Month Fixed Term Contract. As Coles transitions ownership of the Coles Express business to VIVA Energy our finance team will play a key role in ensuring key deliverables are met in line with agreement.

**About the Role**:
Reporting into the Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for leading the deliverables and performance for four offshore team members.
This role will be key in ensuring a smooth transition and will work across multiple stakeholders both within Coles Group business functions and third party providers You will also:

- Responsible for the processing and review of accounting for inventory
- Lead end-to-end processing of all GFR and GNFR invoices
- Approve payments, invoices, journals and reconciliations
- Lead the investigation of accounts payable & root cause and the processing of rebates
- Maintain the supplier master file and trading terms
- Lead the processing and issue resolution of 3rd party service providers
- Review periodic month end reporting
- Communicate analytics to internal stakeholders

***About you and your skills**:
We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in a Finance Operations Leadership role. Given this role has a strong offshore team management component you will be a strong leader with the ability to engage team members You will also need:

- CA/CPA or similar qualification with a tertiary accounting qualification
- Experience in a large-scale corporate business, ideally in retail or FMCG
- Proven experience of working and coordinating with a diverse range of stakeholders with the ability to effectively work cross functionally
- Sound accounts payable knowledge, stock accounting merchandise and operations knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing skills and communication skills
- Knowledge of current accounting standards
