**The Opportunity**
This role is ideally designed for a qualified Senior Accountant with a few years of industry experience who is looking to step up, or an individual looking to make their first move out of professional services with a demonstrated track-record of team leadership and management.

**The Role**
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will manage a medium sized team of qualified and part-qualified Financial Accountants.

As Financial Accounting Team Lead, you will lead a team to provide effective management of the Financial Accounting Team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring monthly accounting tasks are accurately completed on a timely basis.

Your key responsibilities will include performing and overseeing:

- Supervision of the Financial Accounting team via direct report management
- GL transactions including leasing, accruals and prepayments
- Month-end, including reporting to Group accounting and reporting teams
- Monthly financial reconciliations including all balance sheet reconciliations
- Investigation of all variances in conjunction with Commercial Finance Team
- Collaboration with Commercial Finance Teams to establish trends, strategic plan and budget
- Review of Budget information and formulation of monthly journals
- Cost allocations between cost centres and or functional units.
- Systems and process improvement.

**What you'll need to bring**
- CPA/CA qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous staff supervision experience
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skill
- Excellent numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
