Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in aircraft maintenance? We’re seeking a Part time skilled Heavy Maintenance Coordinator to oversee both short-term and long-term maintenance planning, ensuring optimal aircraft utilization. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of major component maintenance scheduling and planning, serving as a central liaison for international MRO suppliers, and representing VARA CAMO in managing aircraft during heavy maintenance.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- **Maintenance Planning**: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for both short-term and long-term needs. Manage major component maintenance schedules, including engines, APU, landing gear, and critical LRUs.
- **Coordination**: Act as the primary contact for international MRO suppliers, ensuring smooth coordination of heavy maintenance events. Oversee procurement and timely delivery of parts and materials, and manage financial reconciliation for heavy maintenance activities.
- **Compliance and Reporting**: Ensure adherence to MIPM/SLA agreements with VARA-approved AMOs. Monitor KPIs and generate monthly reports. Support fleet maintenance slots to meet MPD/AMP scheduled tasks.
- **Forecasting and Planning**: Maintain and update the fleet maintenance planning matrix and long-term forecasts. Perform regular revisions and evaluate maintenance plans to ensure efficiency.
- **Investigations and Improvements**: Review and report on aircraft defects identified during heavy maintenance. Recommend improvements to AMP based on findings.
- **Pre-Maintenance Coordination**: Conduct pre-heavy maintenance surveys and create additional work scope task cards/plans. Ensure materials and parts are coordinated and delivered on time.

**You’ll be great in this role if you**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years in aircraft maintenance, with at least 2 years in a related role within Civil Aircraft maintenance.
- **Skills**: Proven ability to create strategic plans, lead and manage teams, and handle complex maintenance tasks. Strong critical thinking, organizational, and leadership skills.
- **Technical Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of aircraft operated by the airline, maintenance regulations, and standards. Advanced Microsoft Office skills are essential.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Commitment to continuous improvement and strategic focus. Strong interpersonal skills and personal effectiveness.
