**Description & Requirements**:
Our Heavy Lift division is seeking a skilled Superintendent on a FIFO roster,**with expertise in Self-Propelled Modular Transporter operations to join our team.. As the Heavy Haul / Heavy Lift Superintendent, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of heavy haulage and heavy lift services on our major projects across Australia. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the safe and efficient movement of oversized modules using SPMT as well as the execution of heavy lifts using both conventional cranes and alternative lifting technology. Your ability to work collaboratively with clients and build strong relationships will be crucial to the project's success.

Reporting to the Site Manager or Project Manager you will be a hands-on leader who places a strong emphasis on people and has a proactive problem-solving approach.

**In this role, you will draw on your previous experience to**:

- Develop comprehensive lift plans and transportation strategies for the movement of oversized modules using SPMTs, considering project requirements, safety regulations, and logístical challenges
- Manage the site team, coordinating and supervising the execution of heavy haulage and lifting operations, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgetary constraints, and safety protocols
- Collaborate closely with the Site Manager, project stakeholders, and subcontractors to understand their requirements, address concerns, and build strong working relationships.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to mitigate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment
- Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and report on performance to project management and stakeholders
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulations related to heavy haulage and SPMT operations
- Set and achieve excellent safety performance through driving operational safety awareness and intervention
- Promoting a “One Team” approach and ensuring team focused approach with clients and internal stakeholders

**What you will bring**:

- A trade or professional background with experience of managing multi-disciplinary workforces
- Experience working within the Oil and Gas construction sector is desirable
- Proven experience as a Heavy Lift Superintendent (or Senior Supervisor) in the heavy haulage and lifting industry
- Experience of major project logistics including Ro-Ro operations (with SPMT’s), road going transport, heavy lifts & alternate installation methods
- Strong knowledge and understanding of SPMT systems, rigging techniques, and lifting equipment
- Demonstrated ability to develop lift plans, transportation strategies, and risk assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and build strong relationships
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle challenges in the heavy lift and SPMT space
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing project requirements and deadlines
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively prepare correspondence, reports and instructions
- Sound knowledge working to AS/NZ ISO: 9001 Quality Standards
- Ability to undertake a FIFO roster for site-based role
