**The Principal Procurement Officer's key responsibilities are**:

- Provide active leadership and guidance to the ICT Procurement & Vendor Engagement team to ensure request fulfilment is met within established Service Level Agreement (SLA) timeframes, assisting them to deliver quality, best practice procurement advice and service delivery.
- Lead, influence and provide advice on the department's ICT procurement functions according to established frameworks, policies and standards and contribute to the development and improvement of these services.
- Develop and maintain strong working and business relationships with internal and external clients, stakeholders and vendors.
- Provide high level support to the Manager, ICT Procurement & Vendor Engagement, in the management of relationships, delivery of services provided by the team, and preparation of briefs, procurement strategies, QITC and supplier based contracts (in particular for software) procedural reviews, continuous improvement and dashboard reporting.
- Maintain a broad understanding of the department's ICT environment and how the organisation sources, deploys and manages its ICT products and services.
