About The Role
As Principal Procurement Officer, you will be part of a team that leads complex procurement activities in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the management of new and existing supply arrangements for the BCM category to support strategic outcomes.

Your Responsibilities
As the Principal Procurement Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • In collaboration with key stakeholders, contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate procurement strategies that deliver Departmental and Government objectives and priorities whilst minimising risk.
  • Exercise a procurement delegation overseeing sourcing processes including development of relevant documentation, market engagement, evaluation of offers and contract negotiation.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of departmental requirements and demand, relevant supply markets and procurement strategies and initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with a network of key stakeholders across the department and government.

About You
It would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:

  • You will be a strong communicator with a good knowledge of contract management processes in a Government context, with experience relevant to the role.
