What you will do in the role of Principal Procurement Officer, Procurement Services
- Provide strategic and tactical analysis and procurement planning, category management, strategy development and implementation and the provision of expert knowledge and advice to various internal stakeholders, including Departmental business groups and a network of DAF procurement officers. Conduct and lead tender management from procurement planning through to contract award, contract management and administration, preparing procurement related correspondence, providing procurement advice to stakeholders and exercising a procurement authorisation. - Initiating and project managing reviews of procurement systems and processes and identifying strategies for improvement to ensure an efficient and effective procurement function. - Provide objective, professional input to the development of departmental procurement policies, systems and procedures. - Influence the capability and profile of procurement with the department and contributing to the development of knowledge and expertise of purchasing staff in the delivery of effective procurement practices.
