Melbourne, Australia VC Support Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one support to children with disabilities in accordance with their individual NDIS plans.
- Assist children with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene routines, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Implement therapy and behavioural support programs under the guidance of healthcare professionals and NDIS plans.
- Support children in accessing community participation activities, educational programs, and recreational opportunities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes the child's physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of support provided, progress made, and any incidents or observations.
- Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, allied health professionals, and other support workers involved in the child's care.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant qualifications in disability support, community services, or a related field.
- Experience working with children with disabilities, preferably within an NDIS framework.
- Understanding of the NDIS legislation, principles, and person-centered approaches.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of children with disabilities.
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs and preferences of each child, while promoting independence and autonomy.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (desirable).
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (if required for community outings).

**Job Types**: Subcontract, Casual

**Salary**: $40.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: On the road
