**Your new company**

This Government Department is responsible for delivering policies and programmes that support the Australian Community. This program provides support to individuals who have experienced hardship and need assistance through providing counselling, case management and financial support. There is a current need for a high performing APS6 and EL1 Grant officers with a strong emphasis on delivering a positive impact within the Australian community.

**Your new role**

Your role will involve the management and assessment of socially focused grants, and you will provide oversight of service provider risks. You will also be required to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and funded organisations, including assisting to resolve issues and promoting strategic objectives. In addition, you will also provide specific program and policy information to service providers and other stakeholders and will be expected to prepare written correspondence including briefs and reports. Your experience with policy will allow you to provide policy advice on the implementation of the grant program and make a positive impact to people's lives.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You’ll employ your experience working in a similar role and possess an in-depth understanding of program management and grant funding. Drawing on a diverse background in Government, you’ll have strong analytical and conceptual skills as well at critical thinking.

You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proven analytical, judgement and problem-solving ability. Additionally, you will have strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills. Previous Australian Federal Government experience including team supervision will be highly regarded as well as an understanding of disability policy.
