**The Opportunity**:
Silk has an exciting opportunity for the Commercial Analyst who will be responsible for completing pricing and costing models, in-depth analysis and reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Activities will ensure the timely and accurate insights to assist with commercial decision making.

Located: Port Melbourne
- Tasks include but not limited to: _
- Assisting in providing financial and pricing modelling with in-depth variance/scenario analysis
- Performing detailed analysis to determine customer profitability, reviewing and assess customer pipeline and perform gap analysis
- Providing commercial support in the review of customer and tender setting including financial analysis and provision of supporting data for relevant approvals
- Identifying opportunities to increase profitability, competitor advantage, shareholder value and business growth
- Reviewing and integrating financial information and systems with a view to validate, challenge and improve
- Providing insightful and timely reporting, including variance analysis, productivity and operational performance to KPIs
- Assisting with annual budgeting process and periodic rolling forecasting
- Supporting the wider business and liaising with other teams as necessary

**To be successful in this role you'll have**:

- Bachelor degree in Commerce, Business or equivalent
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in a similar role (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong data analysis with the ability to work across complex and various data warehouses
- Advanced Excel skills and other analytical tools such as Power BI
- Strong time management and effective decision-making skills
- Sound conflict resolution skills
- Experience in the Logistics/Supply Chain/Warehousing/Distribution Sectors (advantageous but not essential)
- Can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and high attention to detail and accuracy
