Project Officer

**About the Role**
The Project Officer will lead a one year funded project to create an online learning module to build the capability of Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIOs) to reduce barriers to access to volunteering opportunities by the following identified groups; people with disability, newly arrived migrants, First Nations, young and older Australians. This project is in partnership with the Centre for Volunteering and funded by the Department of Social Services Volunteer Management Activity.
The project will be based within SSI’s Volunteer Program and work with SSI’s Diversity Training to ensure the learning is grounded in evidence based practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and coordinating the delivery of the project
- Identify, establish and collaborate with various stakeholders
- Collaborate with e-designers and videographers to develop e-module
- Identify and support a group of volunteers with lived experience to share their knowledge
- Managing project budgets and payments in collaboration with the Finance team.

**Essential Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in adult education and/or social science
- Proven experience engaging and managing stakeholder relationships
- Experience providing mentoring and/or coaching to support people with lived experience to share their lived experience in an educational setting.
- Knowledge and experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; ideally as volunteers
- Demonstrated experience/knowledge developing e-learning material
