**The Role**
The Terminal Procedures Specialist works as part of a small team within Aeronautical Information Service - Air Force (AIS-AF) that is responsible for designing and coding Instrument Flight Procedures and generating navigation database products.
The Terminal Procedures team is a dynamic environment with time pressures to meet International Civil Aviation Organisation distribution cycles and short notice Australian Defence Force contingencies to ensure a seamless production process from sourcing flight critical aeronautical information through product compilation, to publication, and ultimately product distribution.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
