**The Role**
The Team Leader - Terminal Procedures is responsible for the production of AIS-AF’s range of digital aeronautical information products and leads a small team of technical staff including qualified instrument flight procedure designers.

The Team Leader - Terminal Procedures collaborates closely with other unit team leaders to ensure a seamless production process from sourcing flight critical aeronautical information through product compilation, to publication, and ultimately product distribution.

Under the direction of the AIS-AF executive team, the Team Leader - Terminal Procedures will provide expert advice relating to digital products and IFP to other units within the ADF flying community, contractors to Defence, Commonwealth agencies and allied military partner working groups.

The Team Leader - Terminal Procedures works in a dynamic environment with time pressures to meet International Civil Aviation Organization distribution cycles and short notice ADF contingencies.

The additional payment is a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP) which enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the rate of salary otherwise payable under the Enterprise Agreement (EA) to some or all of the jobs within a critical occupation(s) or discipline within a workplace.

Applicants engaged into a BDCP position must consider the following:

- BDCP may also be ceased should you change positions or the requirement for the BDCP is no longer necessary, as determined by Defence. Should the BDCP be ceased you will be advised and your BDCP additional payment will cease.

**Our Team**
Aeronautical Information Service - Air Force (AIS-AF) is an Air Force unit responsible for the provision of timely, accurate and relevant Aeronautical Information Publications (AIP) that supports Australian Defence Force (ADF) operations globally. AIS-AF is responsible for the production of both paper and digital AIP with a specific focus on Australia, Asia and the Indo-Pacific region.

To be successful in the role, you will be a team focused individual who demonstrates the ability to lead a small team, whilst establishing and maintaining strong relationships within a network of internal and external stakeholders. Relevant experience in an aviation related role (e.g. Aircrew, Air Traffic Control, Flight Operations etc.) or other aviation related positions will be highly regarded.
