**The Role**
Land Command, Control, Communications & Computer Systems (LC4S) Branch is seeking highly motivated and skilled Engineering and Technical professional who is able to provide support in delivering business outcomes.

The work of the Assurance and Data sub-function in Defence: Provide assurance and data knowledge to support technical and engineering activities and ensure quality and compliance with appropriate technical delegations commensurate with relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks. Engage with stakeholders, investigate, report, develop, evaluate, advise and implement policies, procedures, practice and manage resources specific to assurance and data specifications to support the Defence materiel capability life cycle.

Within the Assurance and Data sub-function an APS 5 Technical Data Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex technical data, publication, drawing and modelling work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to have and maintain a well-developed understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.

The APS 5 Technical Data Officer will be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

LC4S Branch under Joint Systems Division (JSD) is an exciting and complex environment, offering a rewarding career in one of the most dynamic organisations within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), delivering and sustaining C4 technology to Army and the Joint Force. The Technical Data Officers based at VBM or Russell Offices will be part of an integrated APS/ADF/contractor teams that provides support to Projects & Products across both CA31 Battlespace Communication Systems and CA40 Command and Intelligence Systems.

- Perform moderately complex technical data, publication, drawing and modelling activities and associated tasks working to agreed priorities and outcome.
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge of relevant processes, packages, products and equipment.
- Assess whether technical packages, reports, processes, products and equipment performance meet the specified requirements, provide recommendations for continuous improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure safety aspects of Defence capability are considered and incorporated into technical activities and tasks.
