**Working in the Project Development Department**

**About the Roles**

**1. Engineering Design Manager **(CPEng)

**Salary circa $160,000 + Civil liability allowance 3.5% + Super + leaseback vehicle**

Right now we're looking for a Chartered Civil Engineer to be City of Ryde's Engineering Design Manager.

You will be given the autonomy to own your role and its responsibilities in leading our Design Section to deliver designs for the Capital Works Program. The position is pivotal in the development of high-quality, innovative, and exciting capital works projects such as state of the art playgrounds and recreation spaces, carparks, stormwater drainage infrastructure and roadworks.

In addition, you will also:

- Lead, guide, mentor and develop your team of approx. 20 multidisciplinary professionals (Civil Engineers, Surveyors, Landscape Architects)
- Utilise your expert knowledge of legislation, regulations, safety in design, design standards, and code of practice relating to the design, construction and management of the built environment
- Provide strategic input to the Project Development Department and drive business improvements in the design section
- Think ahead and drive the forward planning of design work.

**2. Team Leader (Civil Design)** (RPEng)

**Salary circa $128,000 + Civil liability allowance 3.5% + Super + leaseback vehicle**

Right now we're looking for a Registered Professional Civil Engineer to be City of Ryde's Team Leader (Civil Design).

In this role you will provide day to day guidance, support and leadership to a team of approx. 5 Civil Design Engineers. You will ensure your team is meeting their deadlines and quality requirements, working effectively with stakeholders and developing sound civil designs for endorsement by the Design Manager.

In addition, you will also:

- Steer the development of designs to ensure they respond to site needs
- Coordinate contemporary designs that are cost effective and in line with environmental, maintenance and aesthetics needs.
