Power Systems Engineer

As a Power Systems Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, analysis, and integration of electrical power systems focused on alternator-based generation. You'll be responsible for ensuring technical excellence across design, testing, and commissioning activities, while also managing customer expectations and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships

The role responsibilities include:

• Provide technical advice and guidance into generator applications, including alternator sizing, performance evaluation, and vehicle system integration.
• Collaborate with design, production and assembly teams, as well as with customers and end-users to ensure seamless and compliant integration of alternator and generators equipment into vehicle power systems
• Analyse, assess, test, and optimise the performance of alternators and generators.
• Analyse power quality, performance and compliance with application specification and standards.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, specifications, and proposals for internal and external stakeholders; both customers and suppliers.
• Ensure customer requirements are clearly translated and understood by the team.
• Engage enabling functions and coordinate activities to meet customer timelines
• Contribute to safety-in-design reviews, risk assessments, and compliance with WHS requirements

Required skills, experience and qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of power systems engineering, specifically related to alternator and generator technologies.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks software, and power modelling software packages as applicable.
• Demonstrated expertise in vehicle power system integration (military vehicle integration preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with key focus on technical reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
• Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to deliver on time and to the agreed scope.
• Demonstrated experience with electrical system reliability and / or warranty management
