The role responsibilities include:
- Provide technical advice and guidance into generator applications, including alternator sizing, performance evaluation, and vehicle system integration.
- Collaborate with design, production and assembly teams, as well as with customers and end-users to ensure seamless and compliant integration of alternator and generators equipment into vehicle power systems
- Analyse, assess, test, and optimise the performance of alternators and generators.
- Analyse power quality, performance and compliance with application specification and standards.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, specifications, and proposals for internal and external stakeholders; both customers and suppliers.
- Ensure customer requirements are clearly translated and understood by the team.
- Engage enabling functions and coordinate activities to meet customer timelines
- Contribute to safety-in-design reviews, risk assessments, and compliance with WHS requirements
Required skills, experience and qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of power systems engineering, specifically related to alternator and generator technologies.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks software, and power modelling software packages as applicable.
- Demonstrated expertise in vehicle power system integration (military vehicle integration preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with key focus on technical reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
- Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to deliver on time and to the agreed scope.
- Demonstrated experience with electrical system reliability and / or warranty management
