About the role
We seek an enthusiastic and passionate professional who is ready to take the next step in their Sales career in an iconic 5-star Adelaide hotel and be a part of the growing Adelaide Hospitality and Tourism industry by embarking on a career journey with Stamford Plaza Adelaide and Stamford Grand Adelaide in our driven Sales Team.
The Sales & Events Coordinator role’s core function is to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Sales team to assist the continual drive towards our competitive sales targets. We offer a fast-paced and fun working environment, where any ambitious Sales professional will thrive.
This position reports to the Area Director of Sales.
Core requirements of your role
Play an active role in supporting Business Development Managers to response to Corporate and MICE RFPs, including collating tender information and the send off of documents through various tender portals
Invoicing administration including processing purchase requisitions, and maintaining a purchase requisition log
Attend and actively participate in various Sales meeting, including secretarial duties such as minute taking and distribution
Assist the Sales Team to develop, maintain and enhance existing client relationships
Support and at times, independently conduct site inspections and hotel familiarisations as required
Ad hoc reporting duties to enhance overall Sales tracking and oversight for the benefit and use of the wider Sales Team
About you

Has proven experience working in a Sales or Events Department, preferably in a hospitality or tourism organisation

Can be flexible with their availability and is able to work at times that may stray from standard business hours, as required
Has Delphi & Opera knowledge (desirable)
Holds full and unrestricted Australian working rights
