Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an EL1 Assistant Director on a permanent, full time basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director will:
- design, implement and evaluate engaging and fit for purpose Department wide talent and capability initiatives, programs, frameworks, and policies,
- lead a dynamic team, including managing workflow, resources, coaching and development of team members,
- manage reporting and evaluation to support continuous improvement and address capability gaps,
- prepare high level written briefs and reports,
- provide expert and timely advice, complex problem solving and issues management for stakeholders,
- provide effective and efficient talent and capability resource management, including financial and contract management,
- develop and deliver innovative solutions and creative internal communications that promote engagement and support building a high performing and capable workforce, and
- collaborate with stakeholders across the department to facilitate delivery of targeted talent and capability programs.
As an Assistant Director, you will have:
- the ability to lead, mentor and develop others to build an effective, positive, and collaborative team.
- effective analytical skills in gathering and investigating information at the broader departmental level to identify critical gaps and innovative solutions.
- highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to negotiate with and influence key stakeholders.
- strong financial and contract management skills.
- the ability to deliver high quality project outcomes, on time and in line with expectations.
- the ability to build and nurture collaborative relationships based on trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
- the ability to demonstrate professionalism, impartially, and integrity in dealing with others and managing sensitive information.
Mandatory Requirements:
