**About the Position**

The City is offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive, adaptable and engaging professional to contribute to the economic growth and development of the City.

The Economic Development Assistant is part of a dedicated Service Unit which is responsible for protecting and enhancing the City’s reputation and improving economic prosperity for local businesses and the community.

This role supports the implementation of programs, projects and events which empower local businesses and facilitate employment growth. This role also maintains an efficient administration function.

This role is being offered full-time (76 hours per fortnight) for a two-year fixed-term contract.

**About You**

To be successful in this position you’ll have an eye for detail, excellent customer service and communication skills and strong writing and researching abilities. You’ll be able to coordinate and attend events which may be held early mornings, evenings and weekends - for this you’ll need a driver’s licence.

**Salary**: $82,049 - $87,516 per annum depending on qualifications and Experience
