**Assistant Governance Officer**
- Casual fixed term role (6 - 8 week period).
- 8 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday)

**About the position**

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, driven individual with strong initiative and a collaborative mindset to join our Legal and Compliance team on a casual basis. This role is for 3 days per week over a 6 to 8 week period. The position plays a key role in providing high-level administrative support for the Council meeting process, including attending Council Meetings and Briefings held on Tuesday evenings (with a later start time on Tuesdays to accommodate this), as well as assisting with organisational governance and compliance requirements.

**About you**

To be successful in this position you should have demonstrated experience in an administrative or governance role, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

We are looking for a team player with an attention to detail and who is comfortable learning and using technology.

Prior experience in local government and/or a governance role will be highly regarded, however on-the-job training will be provided.

**Salary and Benefits**

Casual hourly rate: $57-$60 p/h, dependant on experience.
