**About the Position**
The City is offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive, adaptable and engaging professional to contribute to the economic growth and development of the City.
The Economic Development Officer is part of a dedicated Service Unit which is responsible for protecting and enhancing the City’s reputation and improving economic prosperity for local businesses and the community.
This role is a key point of contact for businesses whilst also being responsible for the planning and implementation of economic development projects. Under the supervision of the Principal this position is required to proactively project manage key initiatives that support and grow local businesses, attracts private investment and engages the public sector to facilitate sustainable economic development that has a benefit within the City of Cockburn.
This role is being offered full-time (76 hours per fortnight) on a permanent basis.
**About You**
To be successful in this position you will require a tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics, Business or similar. You’ll have demonstrated experience in a similar position with high levels of stakeholder engagement and you have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You have strong research skills and you’re able to work autonomously.
**Salary**: $97,455- $104,959 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
