**Your new company**
This is a Federal Government client who provides support and assistance for all Australians living with a significant or permanent disability. On offer is a 12-Month contract with extension possibilities and the role will be based in Brisbane CBD.

**Your new role**
You will assist the team in the coordination of Freedom of Information requests made to the agency and ensure the agency meets it's legal obligations in relation to the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act. This will involve quality assurance checks, training, advice and guidance as well as operational and administrative tasks and research and analysis activities.
- Assist an FOI Decision Maker to create, process and make FOI decisions, including complex and sensitive decisions as well as ensuring correct and accurate record keeping of all closed matters in line with the FOI act.
- Prepare and draft a range of material including data reports, briefing materials, internal and external correspondence and formal decision letters.
- Provide quality assurance support, guidance and training to the Freedom of Information and Participant Information Access teams.
- Provide administrative and project support to develop systems, processes and practical tools.
- Assist in preparing statistical reports for all staff where required.

**What you'll need to succeed**
The successful applicant will posses demonstrated experience in a similar role as well as a sound understanding of FOI and/or other formal document release processes. Highly developed organisational and analytical skills are a necessity.
