The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Design professional to join to Urbis's national Urban Design team as an Associate Director. This is a key role of the Design management team in Sydney where you will play a key role in supporting Sydney Design team's growth and development.

You will work closely with our clients to deliver excellent client and community outcomes. Our clients include State Government Agencies, Councils, and Tier 1 developers, across a spectrum of projects spanning large-scale city planning, place strategies, urban renewal master plans, and new community precincts.

**You will be**:
Leading, managing and coordinating all aspects of the delivery of all project sizes including medium to larger projects with fees over AU$50,000 (including complex multi-disciplinary projects with Director support). This includes understanding and managing resourcing, program and fees and flagging issues as they arise to ensure project budget and deadlines are met;
Leading, preparing, scoping and costing high-quality winning fee proposals or tenders autonomously with only review and refinement from a Director;
Expert proficiency and understanding in the detail of master planning and built form design requirements (i.e. the different phases, deliverables, contract documents and client expectations) with creative design flair and delivery input into multiple projects from concept stage through to design development and planning submissions;
Navigating opportunities, projects and invoicing;
Providing timely and accurate revenue forecasting, task management and billing that aligns with project budgeting;
Developing and nurturing consulting staff capabilities and efficiency by providing coaching, mentoring, skills, efficiency related tips and tricks and career development including regular line management reviews, technical guidance and management on a day-to-day basis;
Build new and existing client relationships resulting in the generation of repeat work and strong professional networks across a range of industry sectors;
**About You**:
Tertiary qualifications in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban & Regional Planning or a related discipline;
Experience in an Urban Design practice and/or consultancy environment;
10+ years relevant experience.
Advanced and efficient skills in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino and/or other 3D modelling software;
Advanced and efficient skills in relevant components of the Adobe Suite;
