About the Role

ServiceStream’s Telecommunications Division are currently seeking a Construction Manager to join our Fixed Networks team in Parramatta.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Hybrid Role based in Parramatta, NSW

Reporting Line: State Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to ensure the highest standard of safety is always maintained for all stakeholders;
- Provide reliable input to the program planning process;
- Act as the “point of contact” for the Field Workforce to ensure mínimal disruption to both operations and construction activities;
- Develop constructive and mutually beneficial relationships with the Client, Contractors, and team members;
- Determine required resources to manage project tasks including required subcontractor resources;
- Prepare and conduct toolbox meetings; communicate policies, procedures, and practices to work teams;
- Schedule daily activities in line with the scheduled program;
- Confirm and continually review field resource requirements to deliver the program;
- Ensure materials are available;
- Coordinate resources to align with work priority aligned to the program;
- Evaluate staff and subcontractor performance;
- Monitor and drive business and contractual targets to better or meet SLA’s;
- Continuously assess efficiency and take appropriate corrective action where necessary;
- Manage delivery of work to known and emerging technical standards;
- Ensure all necessary completion artifacts are accurate and submitted on time;
- Ensure all scope variations are identified, quantified, and approved.

About You

You will also demonstrate and possess the following:

- Significant experience in the telecommunications industry;
- Knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure and asset management systems (advantageous);
- Understanding of contract administration;
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors, deal with on-site issues, quality and safety management;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite;
- Valid Driver’s License;
- First Aid certificate; and,
- Construction Industry White Card.
