At OUA we believe that a talented and diverse People Experience (PX) team is pinnacle to a great employee experience. We’re a small team and don’t mind rolling up our sleeves on many PX initiatives that contribute to increasing our employee engagement. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR advice and guidance to both employees and management, addressing a wide range of HR-related matters, and implementing best practices in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
**Here’s what a normal day might look like for you**
- Providing advice and support to managers and employees on various HR matters, including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and organisational development.
- Handling employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary procedures, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
- Partnering with the broader People Experience team to deliver programs across OUA, including culture pulse surveys, remuneration reviews, workplace relations and policy updates
- Ownership of the HRIS, continuous improvement across PX systems and maintenance of all employee data
- Issuing and maintaining employee HR documentation i.e. employee records, employment contracts, letter templates and any other administrative documents
- Assisting Payroll to ensure key information is provided in a timely and accurate manner and activity required to process the fortnightly pay
- Delivering employee insights across the PX team and contribute to key company and government reports

- You possess a HR Generalist background and have worked across multiple HRIS’
- You have strong foundations of employment law and legislation
- You can build and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- You are adaptable and understand how to pivot when company priorities change

- You are outcome focused and not let perfection get in the way of progress
