**Key Responsibilities**: - Provide advice, guidance, coordination and quality assurance on all aspects of human resource functions including recruitment, employee relations, disciplinary matters, change management, performance management, injury management, organisational culture and development and talent engagement. - Develop and implement workforce planning and management strategies that support a performance culture within the region. - Develop and maintain quality assurance systems, including business services metrics to inform continuous improvement of business services across the region. This includes analysis of finance, facilities, assets and human resources data, amalgamating information from a variety of areas and systems to inform business improvement. - Administer the workplace health and safety function of the region including rehabilitation and return to work activities. - This position will take the lead and possess an expertise in human resources matters for the region, however is also required to oversee the effective management of financial, facilities, fleet and administration support. - Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external business services partners. To determine your suitability for the role, you will be assessed on the following attributes, experience, knowledge and skills that link to the "Key Responsibilities" above: - Demonstrated communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues. - Effective interpersonal skills as evidenced by the ability to build successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a range of competing interests. - Demonstrated written communication and research skills including the ability to prepare reports and submissions on complex matters and analysis of trends. - Problem solving and analytical skills for investigating and resolving HR issues and for improving HR processes and improving work practices and reporting procedures. - Management skills, including project, human resource and financial management skills, to ensure the effective utilisation of resources, and management of change impact within the team. - Demonstrated experience in a HR/WHS role at a senior level. - Experience in the identification, design and implementation of HR/WHS strategies and solutions relating to performance management, workforce planning, workplace health & safety systems and strategic planning. - Demonstrated strength in organisation design and effectiveness, building and developing teams, and must be capable of delivering the full spectrum of HR/WHS generalist and organisational development support to meet both current and future needs. - Risk assessment and management identification and analysis. - Performance assessment and management skills. - Strategic analysis, policy and planning skills.
