Open Arms is the leading provider of mental health services for veteran's and their families - they are a service founded by Vietnam war veterans which now provide essential services to all veteran's and their families.
As an Australia wide team they provide face to face counselling, telephone based support and case management to individuals and their families through a combination of proven clinical practices and new evidence based approaches.

You would be joining a large team of passionate and highly professional specialist staff, within a supportive working environment which provides clinical supervision, professional development opportunities and peer and management support.

**Your new role**
The Open Arms Outreach Program is designed to increase service accessibility for Open Arms clients. It establishes a network of accredited mental health clinicians, engaged through statutory registration, to support the delivery of services on behalf of Open Arms across Australia. As the Outreach Program Coordinator you will work collaboratively manage and coordinate the region’s Outreach Program through liaison and negotiation with Open Arms management and staff. You will contribute to the continuous quality improvement of the Outreach Program at both region and national levels

Additional tasks include:

- Coordination and participation in the selection, orientation and resourcing of suitably qualified and experienced outreach counsellors in line with Open Arms policy
- Facilitation of the delivery of high-quality clinical outreach services for eligible Open Arms clients in rural and outer metropolitan areas in conjunction with other Open Arms staff by;
- Ensuring Open Arms staff with outreach area coordination and/or administrative responsibilities are informed of national and region policy and procedure updates
- Further development, maintenance and management of a database of Open Arms contracted counsellors

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Strong experience and history of providing evidence based clinical interventions that promote mental health recovery
- You will have a passion for learning and understanding the issues faced by military veterans and their families
- You will be either a Mental Health Social Worker with a University Qualification and registration with AASW OR a Qualified Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Nurse with current registration with AHPRA
- You will have strong clinical intervention skills and be competent with documentation and management of a large and diverse work load
- You must have a NSW Drivers License and Eligibility and a willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check
