Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, education and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.

As the Young Carer & Outreach Administration Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Young Carer and Outreach teams for the Carer Gateway.

This is a full time contract position until June 2026.

Duties include:

- Provide assistance and relevant referral information to service providers
- Respond to telephone enquiries from young people who are young carers, their parents/guardians, service providers, schools and associated professionals.
- Attend forums, events and/or networking activities to promote Carer Gateway and Carers NSW programs and services, as required
- Assist the Young Carer and Outreach teams with administrative tasks
- Cert IV in Business Administration or Community Services, or working towards would be desirable
- Demonstrated administrative experience
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Demonstrated experience in working and connecting with young people
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Understanding of and commitment to young carer issues and needs
- Understanding of Mandatory reporting and privacy requirements
- Effective oral and written communication skills.

Salary and Benefits
