We are currently working in with a State Government department. They are looking to recruit an AO4 Finance Administration Officer on a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension.

If you're a seasoned Finance Administration Officer with a passion for public service, we want you to join the team at this State Government department. We're looking for a talented individual with experience in financial processing and budget management.

This Finance team works directly with the department’s divisional leaders to develop, monitor, and manage their budgets. The team prepares regular financial performance reporting and assists internal clients with advice and assistance on financial management issues. As a Finance Administration Officer, you'll play a crucial role in providing essential support the finance team, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.

Responsibilities will include:

- Work as part of a team to ensure invoices received through the group mailbox are monitored, progressed, and managed to meet payment deadlines.
- Complete timely creation, processing, and approval of expenditure vouchers for accounts payable invoices received by the department.
- Identify invoices to be processed using alternative payment methods such as corporate card and purchase orders.
- Assist with the preparation of management reports and budgets and provide support in budget analysis and forecasting.
- Communicate with vendors and service providers to clarify or query financial documentation received.

Consideration Criteria:

- Experience in financial processing/accounts payable and budget management, essential.
- Experience in Government, highly desired.
- Must have an understanding of financial concepts, strong attention to detail, ability to stay focused on high-volume repetitive tasks.
- Experience using S4/Hana and SAP, high desired.
- Experience overseeing corporate budgets, highly desired.
