**About the role**-Max Term **Part-Time **(1 day per week** at 7.6 hours, across **40 weeks of the year, in line with the University Semesters**)**

As the Onsite Social Work Supervisor, you will be crucial to the student experience and influence the culture within Baptist Care SA’s service delivery. You will be responsible overseeing 4 students during their 500-hour placement. You will use a mix of individual and group supervision to align with the Social Work Degree requirements of 90 minutes supervision per student, per 35 hours of individual placement. Whilst you are facilitating students, you will also be face-to-face with our clients who are primarily people experiencing homelessness, and the state’s most vulnerable. You will be working in collaboration other social workers, support workers, case managers and external stakeholders.

Your duties include, but not limited to:

- Assist students to link social work theory and practice, to integrate doing, thinking and reflecting during their placement
- Participate in Learning Agreement, Mid Placement Assessment and End of Placement Assessment processes or meetings, including contribution to the preparation of relevant documents prior to these meetings
- Maintain student workloads within allocated hours, maintaining accurate records and communicating with the Field Education Coordination staff on the progress of the students
- Work with the Manager, Community Development and other staff, to roster students accordingly

**About you**:
You are a people-centred person who is passionate about sharing your knowledge and experience with the next generation of Social Workers. You can build and maintain relationships with people from all walks of life, including those who have experienced homelessness and marginalisation, as well as addiction and mental health issues. Understanding a diverse approach to supervision is important as you will be working with students of varying ages, ethnicity and experience levels. You are flexible, quick on your feet and have a can-do attitude. You will be rewarded by working with a like minded team with a positive culture who are all working towards the same goal of finding ways to make people’s lives better.

You will also have the following skills and experience:

- Must hold a recognised Social Work Degree (with eligibility for membership of Australian Association of Social Workers)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Social Work position is essential
- Experience in supervising students is highly beneficial
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to personal development and ongoing training
- Demonstrated ability to manage change
- Proactive time management and organisational skills

- Full unrestricted South Australia Driver’s Licence
- DHS Child-Related Employment Screening or Working With Children check

- Travel within South Australia may be required
