Asbestos Supervisor

Our client is a South Australian owned business who have been at the forefront of professional asbestos removal in Adelaide since 1998. They work with domestic, commercial and Government clients and take pride in the professional, intensive and complete service they provide, helping hundreds of customers every year by reducing risk from unaddressed asbestos.
They currently have a vacancy for a suitably experienced Asbestos working supervisor to join their team in a Supervisor/Team Leader role. The role is to support their experienced onsite team as well as work with other Asbestos Labourers and requires at least 3 years Friable experience in a supervisory capacity.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Organisation of works teams.
- Responsible for achieving and exceeding financial budgets and targets.
- Ensure asbestos removal procedures are followed.
- Ensure that all documents required are maintained and available for auditing purposes.
- Develop, implement and maintain asbestos removal control plans.
- Liaise with WorkSafe and other authorities on an ad hoc basis.
- Ensure all asbestos workers are trained to the company’s standards.

**Skills/Experience required include**:

- Experience with Asbestos removal management (must have Friable experience).
- 3+ years supervisory experience.
- Proven ability to develop and implement Asbestos Removal Control plans and Risk Assessments.
- Experience in policies and procedures.
- Current drivers license (MR license an advantage).
- Computer literate.
- Cert IV in OHS or Training and Assessment is desirable.
- VET course qualifications highly favourable.
- Understanding of Safework SA requirements, filling out SWMS's and other relevant site paperwork.
- Police Clearances (or the ability to obtain them).
