**About the Role**
The Indigenous Studies Program in the School of Culture and Communication is seeking a Lecturer who is passionate about teaching and research in Indigenous Studies. This multidisciplinary program equips future generations to better understand and engage with Indigenous peoples while addressing contemporary challenges in Australia.

As a Lecturer, you will join a program that strives to be research-led, community-engaged, and globally recognised as a hub for Indigenous Studies. The Program acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung peoples as the Traditional Owners of the Parkville campus, along with the Traditional Owners of all campuses, and values collaboration with Indigenous colleagues and partners.

In this Education Focused role, you will dedicate 70-80% of your time to teaching, delivering in-person classes at the Parkville campus. The remainder of your time will be devoted to research, leadership, and service.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a well established program of teaching while advancing your academic career in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Curriculum design and innovation, including multidisciplinary approaches.
- Subject delivery, including preparing and conducting lectures, tutorials and seminars.
- Development of technology-based teaching, learning and assessment programs and resources.
- Publications, including (but not limited to) peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, books, creative outputs and commissioned reports.

**Who We Are Looking For**

You will also have:

- A completed PhD in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated specialisation in the field of Indigenous Studies (or a related discipline), with a particular focus on international contexts.
- A developing profile of distinctive and impactful research outputs and related activity.
- Experience in community and/or industry engagement with a capacity to build international networks and partnerships.
- A demonstrated ability to create inclusive learning environments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage one’s own time effectively, work collaboratively, administer multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines successfully.
