The Lecturer in Development Studies will have specific expertise in one or more of the following areas: Political Economy of Development and Inclusive Development and Environmental Sustainability. Your responsibilities will include: - Subject coordination including the supervision of sessional tutors (administrative and academic) - Curriculum design and innovation, including cross-disciplinary approaches - Development of technology-based teaching, learning and assessment programs and resources - Publications, including (but not limited to) peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, books, creative outputs and commissioned reports **Who We Are Looking For** You are a dedicated and interactive educator with a growing track record of pedagogical or academic teaching practices and clear commitment to professional and collegial behaviour. You will also have: - A completed PhD in Development Studies or a closely related discipline - Proven research expertise in one or more of the following areas: Political Economy of Development or Inclusive Development and Environmental Sustainability - Demonstrated ability for excellence in teaching, including the capacity to initiate course development - Demonstrated course coordination experience - Ability to supervise honours and postgraduate coursework degree theses - A strong record in research with a developing publication profile For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the attached PD. - This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and _valid Working with Children Check_ to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone._ **Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position**.
