**About the Role**
Your responsibilities will include:
- **Shaping the future of Indigenous education** through the design and delivery of innovative Indigenous education programs (including online and blended learning), developing new courses, and providing expert teaching across the Faculty. You'll also play a key role in fostering scholarship and best practices through professional development and mentoring colleagues.
- **Advancing Indigenous scholarship and research** by actively contributing to research projects, publishing impactful research in leading publications, and supervising postgraduate students. You'll have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of Indigenous education on a national and international scale.
- **Forging partnerships and influencing policy**. Building strong partnerships with Indigenous communities and schools. You'll be a key advocate for the University and the discipline, actively promoting it and influencing policy and practice through participation in conferences, committees, securing funding, and external collaborations.
**Who We Are Looking For**
You will also have:
- **A PhD/EdD (completed or near completion)** in a relevant field with experience OR possess extensive experience and broad knowledge of Indigenous education, OR demonstrate an equivalent combination of relevant experience and qualifications.
- **Deep expertise in Indigenous education **specifically the factors that have shaped Indigenous education in Australia.
- **A proven research and teaching background **including a strong track record of successful research in Australian Indigenous education with publications of national impact, combined with experience in delivering high-quality teaching in higher education settings.
