As the National Safety and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and risk management strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee training programs, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Develop, implement, and maintain company policies and systems for safe working conditions across all areas of the company
- Mentor staff in understanding and maintaining compliance requirements as well as monitoring continuous improvement
- Undertake investigations into accidents, incidents, and unsafe working conditions to analyse causes, recommend and implement remedial action
- Review current systems, processes, and practices; ensuring that they are in line with relevant legislation, statutory regulations and meet current business requirements
- Ensure policies and procedures are reviewed, updated, and communicate
- Facilitate training sessions to raise awareness of safe working practices

- Organize risk assessments and develop JSA’s and SOP’s for identified activities
- Presentation of OH&S statistics and information at key meetings
- Coordinate and manage the OH&S meetings as you see fit.

**Experience & Qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar OH&S role, ideally within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- Sound understanding of the relevant legislative and regulatory framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
