The Opportunity
We're seeking a dedicated leader with hands-on early childhood centre experience to join our Support Office leadership team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you'll oversee compliance, safety initiatives, and incident management across our growing portfolio of centres. This hybrid role requires 3 days per week in our Support Office and 2 days conducting centre visits (own transport required).
What We're Looking For:
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- Workplace Health and Safety qualification (mandatory).
- Proven experience working in early childhood education centres.
- Exceptional knowledge of Australian ECE regulations and National Quality Framework.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation for centre visits.
- Current Working with Children Check/Blue Card/Working with Vulnerable People Check.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical abilities to identify trends and opportunities.
- High degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Compliance and Safety function as a core member of the Support Office leadership team.
- Manage a team of Compliance and Safety Officers to deploy safety initiatives and conduct investigations.
- Plan and align the compliance and safety function with broader organisational strategy.
- Develop and implement procedures for incident reporting, assessment, and resolution.
- Oversee regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to National Quality Framework.
- Stay informed about regulatory requirements and disseminate updates across the business.
- Maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities.
- Oversee investigations into incidents, complaints, and alleged breaches of regulations.
- Establish structured processes for receiving and addressing complaints from families and employees.
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommended actions.
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop, review, and update compliance and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular workshops and training sessions for employees on regulatory changes and safety procedures.
- Ensure all safety measures and protocols are effectively communicated and adhered to.
