We are looking for a seasoned **Safety Manager** to lead our safety department and foster a culture of safety excellence across all our sites.
**Position Overview**:
The Safety Manager will be responsible for the leadership, direction, and implementation of our company's safety management programs. This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong background in safety management, a proven track record in construction, and the ability to mentor and guide a team. You will be instrumental in advancing our safety programs and initiatives, ensuring our compliance with regulations, and continuously improving our safety practices to achieve an incident-free work environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead, manage, and continuously develop the company's safety, ensuring alignment with our goals and objectives.
- Design, implement, and enforce safety protocols, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment across all projects.
- Oversee and conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and investigations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for all levels of the company, from field crews to management.
- Cultivate a proactive safety culture by engaging and educating employees at all levels on safe work practices and safety principles.
- Collaborate with managers, site supervisors, and all crew members to identify, assess, and mitigate potential safety risks and hazards.
- Prepare and present comprehensive safety reports to management, highlighting key safety metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Stay current on industry trends, advancements in safety technology, and changes in regulatory requirements to ensure company compliance and implement best practices.
**Qualifications and personal attributes**:
- **Experience**: Minimum of 10 years in construction safety management, with a demonstrated history of success in leading and advancing safety programs.
- **Education**: Occupational Health and Safety qualifications preferred.
- **Leadership Skills**: Proven leadership experience with a focus on team building, employee development, and creating a positive safety culture.
- **Communication**: Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence all levels of the company.
- **Analytical Skills**: Ability to analyse complex safety issues, perform risk assessments, and implement solutions effectively.
- **Knowledge**: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, and best practices in construction safety.
