About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an independent seasoned IT Security Specialist to join our small Security team. This is a real career prospect for someone with strong aspiration to become an Architect and wants to play a meaningful role in a security uplift transformation program.

In this role, you are responsible for supporting company’s cyber security program by providing security architecture services, security technology support and expertise in identifying risks and risk mitigation strategies. As the Security expert your innovative solutions and support will secure business systems, protecting what is most valuable to us whilst complying with our policies and standards. You will also support day-to-day security operations as required, including ensuring security policies and procedures are followed, reviewing audit findings, and assisting with threat monitoring/response activities.

**Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
Perform architecture reviews, provide timely advice on required security controls, standards and requirements.

Conduct other security governance activities such as security reviews and assessments where required.

Review outcomes of security testing, audit reports and advise remediation strategies.

Provide technology advice and recommendations at architecture forums.

Support incident management activities as required.

Conduct (IT Service provider/vendor) risk assessments and advise risk findings and risk treatment strategies.

Maintain risk register, ensuring risks are clearly articulated, managed according to policy and the board’s risk tolerances.

Support governance processes to ensure deliverables are compliant and within guidelines.

Report on risks and issues management.

Support audit and compliance remediation activities in relation to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

About you

Broad exposure in the cybersecurity field with substantial relevant experience in most of the following areas:
Technology - experience designing and implementing security solutions in complex environments, including network security, endpoint security, threat detection, and identity and access systems.

Risk Assessment - experience in conducting threat and risk analysis and developing an advising risk mitigation strategy.

Security infrastructure support
- experience managing endpoint security, firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM and monitoring technologies.

Security Operations - experience in threat hunting, incident response and investigation

Compliance - knowledge of industry standards, regulations and frameworks such as CSF, CIS, IS27001K.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to work across all business units.

High level organisational skills, attention to detail and able to prioritise and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable working closely with business stakeholders at all levels and able to work as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
