About The Role
Whitehaven Coal has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Advisor - Remuneration & Analytics to join our high-performing People & Culture team. This role is a key enabler of Whitehaven’s People & Culture strategy, ensuring competitive and equitable remuneration practices by providing insightful analysis, robust financial modelling, and reliable reporting. It plays a crucial role in delivering data-driven insights that inform strategic HR and business decisions, directly impacting remuneration planning, remuneration policy development, and stakeholder management.
Reporting to the Group Manager - Remuneration & Analytics, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth market analysis, developing sophisticated financial models, preparing comprehensive reports, and providing expert counsel to Line Management on remuneration-related matters. This role is based in our Sydney CBD Office.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and execute the operational components of the annual remuneration review process, including data collection, analysis, calibration, reporting, HRIS updates, and communication of outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on remuneration trends, market benchmarks, and best practices, including market analysis, to inform the development and review of remuneration strategies and ensure competitiveness.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to project remuneration budgets and assess the financial impact of various remuneration scenarios, including variable pay planning.
- Ensure data integrity for key remuneration and HR data, including reporting requirements such as WGEA and Whitehaven’s Sustainability Report, and data submissions to external vendors.
- Prepare insightful reports and presentations for executive management and HR stakeholders, communicating key findings and recommendations related to remuneration and benefits.
- Provide interpretation and counsel to Line Management regarding Remuneration & Benefits policies, programs, and practices, addressing and resolving their specific issues.
- Support financial reporting and analysis by providing remuneration data, headcount information, and cost allocation as needed.
- Evaluate and enhance existing HR analytics tools and processes, identifying opportunities for automation and improved efficiency.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field

- Strong financial modelling skills
