**The Role**
Defence is seeking Security Intelligence Analysts to support a diverse body of work within the Directorate of Enterprise Security Assessments (DESA). In this role, you will undertake work that is complex, ambiguous and sensitive.

Under limited direction, you will perform various tasks across intelligence; security reporting and other all-source environments. Additional tasks may also include preparation of briefs; governance activities and liaison across the Defence enterprise; the National Intelligence Community and FVEYs partners. Your work will underpin sensitive security capabilities for the Defence enterprise.

Whilst a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV 1) security clearance is required to commence this role, you must be willing to obtain and maintain a Positive Vetting (PV) security clearance shortly after commencing.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. **About our Team**
The Directorate of Enterprise Security Assessments (DESA) supports strategic security assessments within the Defence enterprise. The Directorate leverages intelligence driven methodology to provide tailored security threat and vulnerability advice to risk stewards and decision makers.

In addition to providing advice to select National Defence Strategy and AUKUS Pillar One priorities, the Directorate is a stakeholder in a number of Defence and National Security programs with functions including:

- Threat advice for Defence submissions to the Treasury lead Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB)
- Intelligence support functions to assessing Foreign Work Authorisations (FWA) in accordance with Safeguarding Australia’s Military Secrets (SAMS) legislation
- Foreign Ownership, Control and Influence (FOCI) assessment input to support Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership decisions.

You will demonstrate:
