**Join the team**

We are seeking a motivated Privacy and Compliance Manager to join our professional and high performing team, working across both Kmart and Target businesses. This role reports to the Head of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs and ensures high quality privacy advice and business partnering to mitigate risk to the company.

You will have experience in privacy compliance management and be an exceptional communicator with a natural ability to proactively manage multiple stakeholders. You will be exposed to numerous key internal stakeholders, allowing you the opportunity to quickly establish credibility and make your mark in this newly created role.

**What you’ll be doing**- Providing advice and guidance on privacy regulatory issues management and emerging regulatory change- Conducting privacy impact assessments (third party service providers, projects and initiatives) with business stakeholders to ensure privacy risks are understood and mitigation plans in place- Developing privacy policies, procedures, and training/or guidance to ensure effective privacy compliance- Contributing to the development of a whole-of-business data governance and privacy management framework- Supporting notifiable data breach management, including reporting to the regulator(s) in relevant time periods and corrective actions- Supporting key compliance transformation initiatives- Contributing to the development, maintenance, and audit of privacy compliance documentation- Managing and responding to privacy queries, requests for information, and privacy complaints within reasonable period- Promoting privacy awareness and training across the organisation, including educating the business (1st line of defence) to understand their role and responsibilities in privacy compliance

**To be successful in this team you will have**:
- proven experience in privacy compliance management, including designing, developing, operationalising privacy frameworks- excellent understanding of privacy laws and regulations, particularly Privacy Act (Cth)- Qualifications in Commerce, Law or Business or relevant industry certifications (preferred)- Strong project management, negotiation, and communication skills- proven experience developing relationships and engaging with a variety of stakeholders including senior management in challenging environments- Demonstrated experience in analytical and problem-solving, with the ability to work innovatively and strategically- Strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills, including ability to communicate complex messages simply to a variety of people across the Group at different levels- certification in privacy (CIPM, CIPT), data management, risk management, law, and/or change management (highly regarded)
