The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and organised Quality and Compliance Officer (APO) to join our team. This role will be pivotal in strengthening our compliance frameworks, by ensuring alignment of internal policies, regulatory requirements, and meeting quality management standards in line with the NDIS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, develop, review and update policies, procedures and risk management documentation.
- Monitor and report on incidents, feedback, and corrective actions to support continuous improvement. Including overseeing risk assessments and conducting incident investigations.
- Ensure alignment with NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct, and other legislative requirements.
- Support and educate staff to foster a culture of compliance, safety, and excellence
- Undertake internal audits against the accreditation standards related to NDIS and prepare for external audits.
- Work collaboratively with the Management Team in identifying areas for continuous improvement to support quality and compliance.
- In consultation with the Service Delivery Team and HR, develop and implement training programs to educate employees on quality and compliance policies and procedures.
- Support investigations, complaints management, and quality improvement initiatives.
About You:
- A degree in Compliance, Auditing, Risk Management, Quality Management, Business or relevant field is highly regarded
- Experience in quality assurance, compliance or risk management within the NDIS, Aged Care, Community or healthcare sector
- Experience as an Authorised Program Officer is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
